Canadian Special Events

Stacy Wyatt

Stacy Wyatt is the visionary force behind Canadian Special Events, the country’s leading platform for event professionals. Through her pioneering work, Stacy has helped shape the Canadian event landscape and fostered its most vibrant and engaged industry community. Stacy began her career managing large-scale events and incentive programs for Canadian DMOs, before expanding internationally to produce events across Australia, Hawaii, and Japan for elite Pan-Asian clientele. This global experience sharpened her expertise in technical production, creative direction, and immersive event design. With a passion for storytelling and a dream of launching a magazine, Stacy founded Canadian Special Events—which started as a blog and boutique trade show and has since grown into a national brand. Today, CSE includes the Canadian Event Awards, CSE Live, CSE Magazine, and an award-winning blog read by thousands across the country. While building CSE, Stacy also served as Director of Events at the University of Manitoba, where she led a wide-ranging portfolio spanning institutional, alumni, advancement, and marketing events as part of the senior leadership team. A respected industry leader, Stacy has served as President of ILEA, mentored emerging planners through Seneca College, and been recognized with numerous awards, including the Senecan of Distinction, seven Special Event Awards, and multiple accolades from CCAE and CASE. She has been named one of Canada’s Top 20 Event Influencers by BizBash, one of 50 Women to Watch in 2025 (Courtney Stanley), Top 20 Females in Events (Eventcombo), and one of the Leading Female Voices in Events (InEvent) in 2025.
